About our Tween Services

Our Teen Center is for young people in grades 6-12, so if you're in grades 4 and 5, you'll be getting ready to transition from the Children's room to the Teen Center very soon! It can be an intimidating transition, so we developed our tween services and programs to introduce our Teen Librarian and some of our teens early, so you'll already have friends when you start to come to the Teen Center. The best part is, all of our tween services and programs are designed by tweens like you.

Tween Advisory Board

When we say that our tween programs are designed by tweens like you, we mean it! The Tween Advisory Board is a group of young people in grades 4-8 who meet on the second Tuesday of every month to help our librarians plan events, buy books, and provide other important ideas and feedback. We give you the power to decide what happens here so we can be certain that we're providing the services you want and need.

New members are always welcome! Come to a meeting!
