Getting Started
1) Search the Library Catalog
2) Try Our Online Databases
3) Go Online
1) Search the Library Catalog
- If we don't have what you need, check for items in other libraries through Request Main (also found in our online Library Catalog)
- If you don't have time to request an item through Inter-Library Loan (it can take 2 weeks) call the library and ask them to hold it for you for pick-up. Your library Card works in all Connecticut Public Libraries!
2) Try Our Online Databases
- All of our Databases are provided through iconn.org and you can access them there or individually on our Databases Page. You may need your library card number to access these databases.
3) Go Online
- There is lots of information available online. However, not all of it is credible. Search carefully and learn to recognize what makes a website a good resource. Wikipedia, for example, is not a good source - but the sources listed at the bottom of a Wikipedia page are often a great starting point!
