CNH Summer Reading List:

All students entering 6-8 grade must read ONE 2011 Nutmeg Nominee and one book of their choice.

Nutmeg books can be found in the YA and Children's libraries. Books from either section are suitable. There is a link available on the Library's main search page with a list of Nutmeg books.

CHS Summer Reading List:

All students entering 9-12 grades who are not taking AP English must read ONE fiction and ONE non-fiction from the American Library Association's Quick Picks for Reluctant Readers or Outstanding Books for the College Bound lists.

These are books that boyse are sure to enjoy. They are full of action and adventure and strong characters.

Girlie Books
Do you love sappy love stories, or tales of princesses and socialites? These are the books for you.

YA Books Adults Will Love
YA books are not just for teens. These are books I think grown-ups will enjoy as much, or more than, the adult books.

Murder, Mysteries, and Mayhem
Teen mysteries, thrillers, and who-dun-its available at this library.

Sports stories
Football, baseball, soccer or skatboarding. Whatever your sport, if we have a young adult book about it then it's here.

Fantasy and Magic
Fairies, elves, dragons and wizards. If it's the stuff dreams are made of then it's on this list.

Supernatural
Ghosts, vampires, witches and werewolves. These stories may freak you out or just intrigue.

Sci-Fi
Time travel, aliens, science experiments gone awry: these stories will bring out the geek in al of us.
